Day 100

We all have to face our Lord eventually; it’s better to do it now and get to know Him and receive His mercy, love and blessings than wait for what’s been promised at judgment…!

Day 98

… I had a vision of a narrow, roped walkway—like those lines you follow through a bank or airport—forcing everyone to move in one direction. As I watched, a man was being led down that path toward death.

Day 97

The worship was raw and powerful. In my vision, I saw myself on parade, fully armoured — helmet, shield, sword. The Lord walked down the line, and when He got to me, He asked me to set my helmet and shield down and to give Him my sword. For a moment, my head filled with the most childish, selfish thoughts — I half expected a knightly accolade. Instead, He took the sword, pressed it to my mouth, and… cut off my tongue!

Day 96

Faith Camp had just wrapped up. I’d dropped off the translation gear at the main hall and was heading back to the caravan to help Tracey pack so we could gather the girls and head home. Then, as ordinary as hearing a bird singing, I heard Him speak: “You’ll have a house and a car by Christmas.”

Day 95

The charcoal fire must have brought the past rushing back for Peter. The scene was fast becoming a nightmare of memory, betrayal, and pain: the last time Peter had seen Jesus, he’d denied Him three times at another charcoal fire…!

Day 94

… Call me to Repentance and Warn me of Consequences … My business was dying a slow and painful death after my cancer scare in 2010. I was desperate for work, money was horribly tight, and the constant stress left me extremely irritable, moody, downright sulky and tremendously grumpy (to say the least).
In the middle of all that, my wife told me that she had been booked on a training course with her work for a couple of days in a posh hotel. Apparently, it was ‘all free’, so she suggested that I accompany her for nothing more than a change of scenery.
I don’t really know why I agreed to go; I was a lousy companion all the long journey there… The next morning, my wife headed off to one of her meetings, and I was just about to head out to town for a coffee when I really felt compelled (convicted) to stay in the room and open the Bible.
The next morning, she left for a meeting, and I was about to head into town for coffee when something pressed on my heart to stay in the room and open my Bible. I resisted—ashamed, fearful, and a little bitter. I hadn’t spent time with God in ages, and it felt easier to blame Him for everything that was going wrong.
Reluctantly, I flipped the Bible open, and it landed in Job 36. Verse 7 jumped out at me, and I started reading. The words were like a lamp in the dark— …
Job 36:7 He withdraws not His eyes from the righteous (the upright in right standing with God); but He sets them forever with kings upon the throne, and they are exalted. And if they are bound in fetters [of adversity] and held by cords of affliction, Then He shows to them [the true character of] their deeds and their transgressions, that they have acted arrogantly [with presumption and self-sufficiency]. He also opens their ears to instruction and discipline, and commands that they return from iniquity. If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasantness and joy.
I felt exposed and seen. Then He led me on to read verse 16, and my defences broke. … Job 36:16-21
“Oh, Job, don’t you see how God’s wooing you from the jaws of danger? How he’s drawing you into wide-open places, inviting you to feast at a table laden with blessings? And here you are laden with the guilt of the wicked, OBSESSED WITH PUTTING THE BLAME ON GOD!
