(Acts 6:1) "Now in these days when the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint by the Hellenists arose against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution. And the twelve summoned the full number of the disciples and said, “It is not right that we should give up preaching the word of God to serve tables. Therefore, brothers, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty. But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
The older I get, the more I see that the ‘balance' that GOD created ‘in’ us and ‘around’ us is constantly under attack! Instead of living (and loving) together in harmony, men and women suffer constant conflicts,
Think about it: Whenever your body or mind, your bank account, the use of your time, and even the way general relationships are meant to work are out of balance, the effects are chaotic. Even within the body of Christ, we have all had concerns.
So, let's look at GOD's solution. As the above Scripture tells us, instead of trying to fix it ourselves when everything seems wrong and then complaining when it doesn't work, we need to (1) BELIEVE that GOD is still in control and that we can trust Him, and (2) Seek His Face for Wisdom on how to restore Holy balance.
GOD, who created all our hearts, says, “Come to Me, my dear Child, and I will show you how to break free and live! Do your part and trust in Me enough to honour Me.”
