(1 Corinthians 1:21) “So where can you find someone truly wise, truly educated, truly intelligent in this day and age? Hasn’t God exposed it all as pretentious nonsense? Since the world in all its fancy wisdom never had a clue when it came to knowing God, God in his wisdom took delight in using what the world considered dumb— preaching, of all things!—to bring those who trust him into the way of salvation.”

And before you start thinking that even before you open your mouth, you need to have 'something special' bestowed on you—let's hear what the Apostle Paul says about his preaching experiences:

(‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭3) "... I was unsure of how to go about this, and felt totally inadequate—I was scared to death, if you want the truth of it—and so nothing I said could have impressed you or anyone else. But the Message came through anyway. God’s Spirit and God’s power did it, which made it clear that your life of faith is a response to God’s power, not to some fancy mental or emotional footwork by me or anyone else.

Holy Father, help us to not just be 'hearers' of the Truth, but 'speakers' too – we (all) want to see Jesus!

GOD, who created all our hearts, says, “Come to Me, my dear Child, and I will show you how to break free and live! Do your part and trust in Me enough to honour Me.” 

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve those who are sick amongst us—Baby Owen, Baby Pasley, Tina, Louise, Betty, Maria, Lorenzo, Matteo, Romeo, Sebastian, Nathaniel, Marissa, Ron, Amy, Franca, Daniela, Kristina, Paul, Roger, Alastair, Ian, Alex, Alexander, Lynette, James, Keiron, Samantha, Jay, Liliana, Maria, Susanna, and those you bring to our minds right now… Please grant your healing power to those who minister to all the sick among us so they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
