(2 Corinthians 1:22) "God affirms us, making us a sure thing in Christ, putting his Yes within us. By his Spirit he has stamped us with his eternal pledge—a sure beginning of what he is destined to complete."

I am currently re-reading "Wild at Heart" by John Eldredge. It is a genuinely anointed book that delves into masculinity at such depth that each chapter leaves you seeking forgiveness and reaching for the tissues!

My earthly father was only 13 when WW2 started. At 19, he came to the UK as a broken individual, incapable of expressing affection for anything outside a beer bottle. No one had ever taught him the value of 'affirming' his children; as such, we soon learned that it was in our best interests to 'stay out of his way'!

I'm writing this now as a man in my final semester of life. As such, I concur wholeheartedly that affirmation is paramount for young boys as it means receiving positive reinforcement, validation and acceptance. In fact, encouragement from parents and adults is crucial to a young aspiring mind, especially throughout emotional growth and the cultivation of strong relationships. Affirmation fosters confidence, resilience, and an unbreakable sense of belonging - which, in turn, benefits every woman he will transact with in his life - mother, sister(s), wife, friends and colleagues!

I pray for every man out there reading this, as well as every woman who is set to pray for him, "If a man is ever to find out who he is and what he’s here for, he has got to take that journey for himself. He has got to get his heart back."

GOD, who created all our hearts, says, “Come to Me, my dear Child, and I will show you how to break free and live! Do your part and trust in Me enough to honour Me.” 🥰
