(Romans 8:15) … you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” leading you back into the fear of never being good enough. But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!”
Part 3: WE MAY LET GO... BUT GOD NEVER WILL — 11. Repentance and humility (turning from pride)
It’s obvious that one of the greatest weapons used against us Christians is the constant message that we are 'never quite good enough.' But that accusation is a lie, and the only time it loses its power is when we welcome (and by definition allow) the 'Spirit of full acceptance' to move within us — enfolding us into God’s family.
Let’s cast off this lie together by praying. Note: asking people to pray this is often one of the hardest invitations — like asking someone to pull a splinter from an already sore finger. When the pain comes, it’s tempting to cry out and pull away. Yet staying through the discomfort is how healing begins.

Let's pray, "Heavenly Father, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares. See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on, and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting ways— the path that brings me back to you." (Psalm 139:23)." Amen!
