Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and he now declares us flawless in his eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us. (Rom 5:1)

This always reminds me of a beautiful conversation I had one day as I walked into work. I asked a lovely Muslim man that I work with: “What do you consider to be the most wonderful feature of God?” He responded with, “His mercy.” “So his forgiveness then?” I asked. “Yes," he said.

"And we both agree that GOD will judge all sinners at the last reckoning,” I said. “I know how much you love your son - for you tell us often enough. Suppose you had 5 children, and you loved them all but at the last reckoning 2 or 3 of them had displeased GOD and were destined for Hell, how would you feel?” “I would be distraught,” he said. “It would kill me.”

By now a lovely African Frenchman had joined us. Hearing our conversation he said, “I would be so broken that I would ask GOD if He would let me go in the place of my bad children.”

"Amazing," I heard myself saying, … "Just like Jesus did."
