(Genesis 18:14) "Is anything too hard for GOD?”

Let’s play a game … Grab a piece of paper and write down a list of everything you want GOD to do for you in 2025. (I’m not talking about an end to global disease or world peace…) this is just about YOU!

Now, look at the list again and remember – GOD knows your heart. He knows what’s 'really there', so go back to the list and add all the things that you really, really, REALLY want GOD to do for you.

Finished? Good. So, assuming we all have a list of about 10+ items, let’s mark each out of 10 as to what we believe GOD will answer…

Now we’re left with one of a few options, we can either:

  1. Recognise that GOD has seen our deepest needs/ wants (but dismiss the rising hope by believing they’re too unimportant to ever come about)!
  2. Go back and judge all of their importance. When you do that, you'll see them being weighed on a scale against the things in your life that you don‘t want to change. (Dismally believe the lie that your requests will never reach His heart, much less hit the ceiling!
  3. Harden our hearts to Him, and work to achieve all that’s on the list in ways that are ‘our own!’ (Huffily deciding that you don't need Him. There is always the lottery god (maybe he'll help us)? There are also lots of dating sites, financial institutions, and good doctors around that might somehow help…)!
  4. Or, maybe we could try and ramp up our Faith – perhaps we’ll pray longer [or harder], or try to be more 'Christian' or ….?

When all is said and done, 'loving Him' motivates His Faithful response, and 'recognition' of His Merciful Goodness opens the door to His Heart and Blessings. That said, once we openly recognise and admit that we are 'lost' (again) and humbly accept the course changes required to get us back on track, we can quickly begin deleting each item on the list and then joyfully answer the question, “Is anything too hard for GOD?" with a strong (loving) NO!

GOD, who created all our hearts, says, “Come to Me, my dear Child, and I will show you how to break free and live! Do your part and trust in Me enough to honour Me.” 🥰
