Part 3: WE MAY LET GO... BUT GOD NEVER WILL — 5. Prayer (Renewed dependence and confession)
Before we start delving into prayer testimonials, let's establish that the meaning of prayer for a Christian is that we get hold of God — not the answer!
Prayer is renewed dependence expressed to God—praise, thanksgiving, confession, petition, and intercession—that way, faith in His help increases and we learn to live wholly dependent on Him.
Prayer can be spoken or silent, liturgical or spontaneous, private or corporate, BUT IT ONLY EXISTS to deepen our relationship with God, seek guidance, express dependence and confess our failings (sin).
Ultimately, prayer is how we ask for His will, His help, and His blessing, and how we seek and obtain the strength to deny ourselves and then be able to do whatever He asks of us.
