(2 Corinthians 6:16) For indeed, we are the temple of the living God, just as God has said: "I will make my home in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.”

Part 3: WE MAY LET GO... BUT GOD NEVER WILL — 9. Worship (Gathered response of praise and obedience that shapes and sends God’s people)

Spend a few seconds unpacking the amazing Promise in the above Scripture and then try to imagine what this ‘really’ means …!

Worship is not a warm, passing feeling—like spotting a celebrity in the supermarket—nor merely civic pride when a dignitary opens a new business. When Scripture describes God’s presence, it is awe‑filled and totally overwhelming - Exodus 3:1, 19:16, 24:15, 20:18, 1 Kings 8:10, 2 Chronicles 7:1, Isaiah 6:1, Ezekiel 1:4, 10, Psalm 97:1, 99:1, Habakkuk 3:3, Matthew 17:1, Luke 5:8, Acts 2:1, 9:3, Hebrews 12:18, Revelation 4–5, 15.

So, let's take one of the Scriptures and see what the Bible says about what happens ... "When Solomon finished praying, a bolt of lightning out of heaven struck the Whole-Burnt-Offering and sacrifices and the Glory of God filled The Temple. The Glory was so dense that the priests couldn’t get in— God so filled The Temple that there was no room for the priests! When all Israel saw the fire fall from heaven and the Glory of God fill The Temple, they fell on their knees, bowed their heads, and worshipped, thanking God: Yes! God is good! His love never quits! (2 Chronicles 7:1)

Beloved, remember: God does not force his way into hearts. He invites, and where he is welcomed, he comes to bless and dwell. Let that promise shape how you live.

Let’s pray. "Heavenly Father, please forgive me for not giving to You the Glory You are due. Please show me what it means to worship You." Amen!
