(Colossians 3:13) "Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."
In this series, we're delving deeper into the teachings that Jesus left us to follow. The seventh commandment leads us to our next focus: FORGIVENESS ...
Spend just thirty minutes watching the world news, and you'll quickly realise how forgiveness is often dismissed as weakness, drowned out by a society that idolises pride and revenge.
For those of us old enough to remember the aftermath of World War II, little has changed. Even today, families everywhere continually wrestle with profound loss and hardship, striving to rebuild their shattered lives amidst the chaos left by devastating wars.
Yet, amid all the turmoil, the message of Christ still stands unwavering, and even though many try to suppress it, forgiveness and reconciliation continuously surface as the only way forward—the essential elements for a secure foundation to rebuild a hopeful future.
For me, knowing that all the mess I'd carried in my heart for years had finally been forgiven by GOD represented a powerful internal transformation that could never ben denied, freeing me definitively from the grip of bitterness and resentment. This profound transformation is precisely what our fractured world so desperately craves. Even though we sometimes fear speaking it out, our souls and spirits passionately cry out for this Gospel of Good News, yearning for its healing power, replacing the shadows of past wounds.
Jesus Himself 'instructed' us to share this invaluable Gift with those in our social circle, urging us to love our neighbours as ourselves. By doing so, we emulate His infinite Mercy and Grace, fostering reconciliation and understanding in our interactions with the world around us. This calling challenges us to rise above our differences and become inexhaustible vessels of His love and compassion.

Let us pray, "Heavenly Father, I humbly ask for Your divine peace to wash over me, cleansing my soul of every anxiety and doubt. Fill me with Your boundless courage, empowering me to see myself as You do—an ambassador of Christ to this broken and fallen world. Ignite in me a passionate desire to spread Your love and truth, to be a vessel of hope and redemption. Let Your spirit guide my words and actions, that I may boldly shine Your light in the darkness. In Your strength, I find my courage." Amen!
