(John 1:11) "He came to his own people, but they didn’t want him.

There's a great line in the song Hosanna, by Hillsong.

"Break my heart for what breaks Yours..."

So, what is it that truly breaks GOD's heart?

Scripture reveals that it is our sin and unbelief that cause Him deep sorrow. These actions signify a rejection of the immense love He offers and indicate a turning away from the intimate relationship He yearns to have with humanity.

Specifically, behaviours such as lawlessness, acts of injustice, and the practice of idolatry evoke feelings of deep grief and anger within GOD. These transgressions not only disrupt the moral order but also reflect a disregard for His divine principles, causing Him profound sorrow.

When we consciously choose to wander away from the path He has laid out for us, we not only create a significant distance between ourselves and Him, but we also leave Him deeply saddened by the lost opportunity for a meaningful and loving relationship. This separation results in a profound sense of heartbreak for Him, as He longs for that connection. Tragically, in this process, we find ourselves gaining nothing of true value in return.

Let's pray: "Heavenly Father, break my heart for what breaks yours is a call to share Your empathy. A recognition that Your concerns should also be our concerns, and a commitment to acting on those concerns. This is my prayer for a deeper understanding of Your heart and a willingness to be moved by the things that move You." Amen!
