(Luke 8:22) “One day he [Jesus] and his disciples got in a boat. “Let’s cross the lake,” he said. And off they went. It was smooth sailing, and he fell asleep. A terrific storm came up suddenly on the lake. Water poured in, and they were about to capsize. They woke Jesus: “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”
Getting to his feet, he told the wind, “Silence!” and the waves, “Quiet down!” They did it. The lake became smooth as glass.
Then he said to his disciples, “Why can’t you trust me?”
I'm putting together my latest book and have realised that there are considerable gaps in my diary! Some gaps span a few days, some months, and some (ouch) quite a few months!
These unrecorded events are either where Jesus has been asleep on a cushion while my boat was sinking in a storm, and I've been too busy enjoying the worrying and trying to figure my own way out!

Hmmm... I wonder why I never bothered trying to wake him? 
Let's pray: "Heavenly Father, First of all, I acknowledge Your power and authority over ALL the circumstances of my life, and I repent for the times that I haven't even bothered to include You in all the challenges I've faced. I should have always turned to You in times of trouble and asked for Your intervention instead of relying on my own flawed wisdom. Lord, help me to cultivate my faith by 'including' You in all I face - even when I don't see immediate results - or worse, results that 'I' would like." Amen.
