NB – Through prayer, study, and seeking a relationship with the Holy Spirit, you will enrich your connection with the Holy Spirit’s power. It’s crucial to ask for His direction, understanding that each spiritual path is different and growth may take time. By trusting in His steadfast faithfulness and remaining patient, you will fulfil your purpose as His instrument – even if it’s not immediately evident.
For those who question whether they’ve been filled with the Holy Spirit, just ask for a sign. Have the courage to reach out and be open to how He may reveal Himself to you.
I have met many people who say that they don’t believe they have ever received the Holy Spirit. Here are just ‘some’ of the reasons they gave:
Time passed, my appointment with the specialist came around, and I told the doctor I no longer needed medication, because I was convinced Jesus had healed me. He smiled politely and put me down for a course of Interferon treatments. At the end of the treatment, they took blood tests and gave me a piece of paper stating: HEP C VIRUS NOT DETECTED!
On a personal note, watching our children tackle their homework was torture for me. My wife would passionately insist, “Leave them alone. They must learn by doing … if you do it for them, they’ll miss the lesson!” The profound, heart-tugging frustration I experienced, especially when their pleading eyes sought mine, was truly overwhelming. But she was right – and my interference would have been wrong on every level!
“I believe in the sun even when it is not shining,
and I believe in love, even when there is no one there,
and I believe in God, even when He is silent.”
Here’s another compelling testimony, real-life example, and inspiring story to help us delve deeper together into the Holy Spirit, propelling us from unbelief to Faith in Him.
As Jesus taught us, Earth isn’t our final home, so living for ourselves isn’t the goal. With Heaven as our true destination, Jesus’s message in Luke 10:37 to “go and do likewise” encourages us to act with kindness and compassion. NB – Anyone who’s ever tried to “go and do likewise” without the Holy Spirit, quickly realises that in order to fulfil Jesus’s command we MUST involve the Holy Spirit in everything!
I truly believe that is what the Holy Spirit desires to do in our lives! He wants to give you a life that is far out of your control – one that you can’t take credit for!”
