(Ezekiel 36:26) "...I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.”
This series is about how GOD is believed to communicate with us all. This next part is through (17) REVIVAL (awakening). NB - Because free will allows us to choose destruction, GOD uses whatever means He wills to rescue us—and one of His life‑changing gifts is revival.
TESTIMONY - There have been many seasons of Revival fire in my lifetime—movements that shook pews and spilled into the streets. One such blaze was the Brownsville Revival (1995–2000, Pensacola, USA): a sustained, Spirit-driven awakening that set hearts afire, filled altars with tears and shouts, and forged disciples whose faith kept burning long after the lights dimmed. I remember it being broadcast live on Christian networks—households tuned in, hungry for something real.
While this was happening, in the heat of a difficult squash match, I broke my ankle hard—the pain was immediate, the joint swelling and blackening as if my body had been branded. I couldn’t put weight on it; crutches became my lifeline. I’d hobble into work at 6:30 a.m., feet aching, and turn on the Revival as I set up for the day, drinking in the prayers and testimonies like medicine.
One morning, the service focused on healing. I prayed with everything in me, tried rising to my feet with raw hope—and was slammed back down by pain so fierce I saw stars. I tried two more times; each attempt ended the same. I felt defeated and ashamed, whispering, “Sorry, Lord,” as if my faith had failed.
Then, at 8:30 am, my Technical Director arrived and found me standing by the water cooler, arms raised, singing along to the Worship—no crutches in sight.
I have no clear memory of how I’d gotten there. My ankle was still swollen and bruised, but somehow I was now walking unaided. It felt like a small miracle—an ordinary morning touched by a whisper of Grace that turned my despair into stunned, grateful Praise! (Warren)
Revival is midwifed by costly prayer and shepherds who bow low. The cheap thrill–seekers won’t find it on God’s market stall; it rests in His hand, waiting for the brave to approach and ask.

Let’s pray, “Heavenly Father, come now and do this work in me. Remove my heart of stone—hardened by sin, fear, and pride—and replace it with a heart of flesh that feels for You and for others. Fill me with Your Spirit: soften what is stubborn, ignite what is cold, and renew my desires to love, obey, and serve You. Teach me to walk in Your ways, to hate what displeases You, and to delight in Your truth. By Your mercy, let this new heart bear fruit—repentance, compassion, faith, and steadfastness—so Your name is glorified in me." Amen!
