(Joel 2:28) "...I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions... in those days I will pour out my Spirit.”

This series is about how GOD is believed to communicate with us all. This next part is through (17) REVIVAL (awakening). NB - Because free will allows us to choose destruction, GOD uses whatever means He wills to rescue us — and one of His life‑changing gifts is revival.

While we were Bible students at Kingdom Faith, an American pastor and his team came to visit—and I was designated to go to the airport to collect them. Apparently his church was in the midst of a revival back home, and that evening something extraordinary happened in our meeting: a roiling, beautiful cloud formed on the platform about a metre high. Some saw it clearly; many more only felt it. My wife dug her nails into my palm so hard the marks stayed for days.
The cloud hovered there, radiant and holy, for about five unforgettable minutes, then suddenly surged forward and passed through the entire congregation—800 to 1,000 people. For many it brought wild, overflowing rejoicing; for others it was overwhelming—some ran out screaming (and didn’t come back for days). One of the Bible College teachers later said, “It was much too real for me...”!
I’ve never forgotten how tangible GOD can be—mysterious, gentle, terrifying, and utterly loving all at once.

In fact, when my wife and I were first born again, we joined a little house church in Haworth, Yorkshire where the miraculous felt ordinary and close. We watched in stunned gratitude as a crippled girl’s leg grew before our eyes. We saw people arrive in wheelchairs and, after encounters with GOD, sob as they pushed those same chairs back to their cars—empty! Broken marriages were mended, estranged families were brought together, and hope felt tangible in every room. Then, painfully and suddenly, it all began to unravel. Because we didn’t recognize the enemy’s subtle lies, the joy we had known was shaken when the pastor betrayed his marital vows with the woman who played the keyboard—and with that betrayal came confusion, grief, and a faith community left to pick up the pieces...!

Each revival is born and kept alive by costly, fervent prayer and humble pastors. It isn't stocked on GOD's supermarket shelves—yet it waits in His hand for all who dare to ask!

Let’s pray, “Heavenly Father, we come in humble dependence, longing for Your renewing fire. Stir in us the Spirit of persistent prayer; teach us to seek You with expectant hearts. Raise up humble, faithful leaders with integrity and shepherd’s love. Awaken Your Church through clear, Christ‑centered preaching so repentance and transformed lives follow. Prepare us by Your Spirit—cleanse, soften, and ready us to receive. Whether revival is gradual or sudden, let its fruit be lasting: deep discipleship, strengthened churches, and holy transformation that honours Jesus. Come, Holy Spirit—revive, renew, and send us." Amen!
