- This is how GOD is believed to communicate with us all. (3). The Holy Spirit: Guiding, convicting, and comforting believers.
This section begins with an answer to a predominant question ...As I said yesterday, the Holy Spirit's presence is welcomed and transformative. He doesn't control; instead, He inspires and strengthens believers to follow GOD's path.
Example 2: "They all knew that I'd become a Christian, and they all kept their distance, thinking I must be quite mad. Anyway, it was summer, and instead of hiring professional contractors, I told them that they could each come in old clothes and clean and paint the office - during work time. This would enable them to obtain around £500 each - not bad money in 1985 (Approx £2,000 today). The following Monday, I remained locked in my office, taking calls and answering most requests, while the outside office was filled with the sounds of the team happily working away, cleaning and painting.
It seems my secretary wanted to clean the ceiling tiles, but without a ladder, she placed her wheeled office chair on her desk and stood on it! Moments later, I heard a loud whirring noise as the chair rumbled across the desk, followed by a short scream and a heavy 'thud' as her nose hit the window ledge.
I flew out of my office at the sound, taking in the surreal scene in front of me. Each of the staff had stopped in the midst of their various decorating tasks. They were all frozen in place, their brushes and cloths dangling from limp hands. They were all staring at my secretary's crumpled body as she lay beside the window ledge - there was blood everywhere!
Her skin was drained of all colour, and the bridge of her nose was severely gashed open, and blood was pumping out at a furious rate. Her eyes were open, but her pupils had rolled up into her head. Turning to the frozen staff, I was just about to shout for someone to call an ambulance when I felt the Lord's Presence. There was a box of tissues on the window ledge, and I saw myself reach out, grab a bunch, and place them on my secretary's face (more to cover the blood pumping out). My heart was aching, and I heard myself say, "Lord, I don't want this …” No sooner had I said this than my secretary sat up. She raised one hand to her face and removed the blood-soaked tissues. The office filled with gasps, as despite the blood smears on her clothing, her face was completely unmarked!
The salesman dropped his paintbrush, issued a loud expletive, and stormed out of the offices. The sound of the door slamming seemed to shock my secretary's assistant out of her frozen stance. She just dropped whatever was in her hand, let out a very loud sob and ran out after him. (She didn't return for three days). The sales junior just fell to her knees, sobbing.
Yes, I took my secretary straight to the hospital A&E. They saw the bloodstained clothing, performed lots of tests and then released her as they couldn't find anything wrong with her!
My secretary was the first to give her life to the Lord; everyone else came too, all within a week!

Let us pray, "Heavenly Father, I come before You seeking Your presence. I want to be FULL of Your Holy Spirit. I want Him to guide my steps and illuminate my path with wisdom and clarity. I want Him to convict my heart of where I need growth, and help me to align my life with Your will. I want Him to be my comfort and peace in times of trouble or uncertainty. I want to trust in His steadfast love and give me the strength to follow His guidance faithfully. Amen!
