(Psalm 119:105) “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path."
- Scripture: The Bible is considered the primary source of GOD's Word and guidance.
Aim: The purpose is to inspire you to absorb GOD's Word—not just read it as a book—but to treat it as a source of spiritual nourishment, offering a continuous stream of meaningful engagement within the ever-evolving life it holds. As you delve deeper, your Bible will transform into a personal diary of your spiritual experiences, with passages highlighted that speak to you during different life moments, struggles, or realisations.
For example: "I was reflecting on the parable of the workers in the field (Matthew 20:1), where everyone receives the same pay regardless of how long they worked. From a human perspective, it seems unfair that those who arrived late received the same reward as those who laboured all day. As I pondered this, I couldn't help but smile. You see, my father resisted the Lord all throughout his life, but in his final days, he accepted Him as his Saviour. This happened after a prayer where God reminded me of the verse, "Whatever you ask in my name, I will do." (John 14:13). I simply asked, "Save my dad so I can walk with him in heaven's garden." The Lord graciously answered, and I believe He shone His face upon my father. This parable beautifully illustrates that my father and I will share the same privilege in Heaven through the Grace of Salvation.
What more could I possibly want? I've witnessed this Grace with other elderly relatives and am hopeful to see the Lord work similarly in my mother's final days. (Brad)
As we see in Brad's testimony, Grace was imparted to Brad's father through prayer, and Comfort was imparted to Brad through the Word that was brought back to his heart.
NB - while some prefer to keep their Bibles pristine, the practice of marking up one's Bible is widely encouraged within many Christian traditions as a method to "engage with" and "treasure" the Word.

Let us pray, "Heavenly Father, guide me in how to absorb Your Word as a source of spiritual nourishment. May it become a living diary of my journey, with passages that speak to me through life's moments and challenges." Amen!
