(Ephesians 4:30) “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption."
Keeping on with the theme of 'not grieving the Holy Spirit', here's Part 4 of 5.
LACK OF FAITH: Whenever we encounter difficulties and hesitate to rely on GOD because of doubts about our worthiness, or His willingness to help, or trust in His promises, it reveals a lack in our faith.
Nothing erodes faith quicker than the acid of fear. That's why the Bible expressly tells us (365 times), "Do not fear!" As believers, we are called to walk within our Salvation - that means lovingly trusting our Saviour; can you imagine a baby or child distrusting their mother's good intentions?
We should likewise embrace a trust-based perspective. When challenges arise, we shouldn't just have a tantrum, roll over, give in or feel defeated. Instead, we should run to GOD and the Holy Spirit will help us to view these problematic situations through GOD's perspective, which means being confident that He will lead us through.
This doesn't mean that He will just click His fingers and make it all go away. This might mean trusting in His plan and working 'with' Him until it's completed - "knowing that He orchestrates everything for your benefit." (Romans 8:28)
Hebrews 11:6 tells us that "...it is impossible to please God without faith... and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him." So, we know that this new 'born-again' life of faith delights GOD, because, like a child, it demonstrates our dependence on His Word, His Character, and His Integrity.
Embracing faith rather than fear invites the Holy Spirit's influence. Faith flourishes when we cease relying on our own efforts and humbly seek our Father GOD, inviting Him into our lives.
So, Child of the Living GOD, humble yourself and run to Him. Depend on Him, He WILL act, and you WILL experience His mighty work in your daily life as you trust Him to act on your behalf.

Let us pray, "Heavenly Father, please transform my fearful heart into one filled with child-like trust in You. Help me to hear and trust Your Holy Spirit. Grant me the courage to believe without doubting and find the joy of Faith in every moment." Amen!
