Let's continue the series with the next theme...
"I'm not experiencing His Power..."
Here, we explore frustration over the lack of transformation or victory over sin despite faith. Here are just 'some' of the possible reasons:
NB - ALL of these (and more) can be easily fixed through a 'living relationship'... and I stand before you, my brothers and sisters, freely admitting I'm not writing these to shame anybody, rather, I have experienced most of these myself...!
- Lack of Faith or Doubt: Doubts about GOD's presence or promises can hinder the experience of the Holy Spirit.
- Unconfessed Sin: Harbouring sin can create a barrier to experiencing the fullness of the Spirit.
- Lack of Prayer and Devotion: Infrequent prayer and limited time spent in GOD's word will affect spiritual sensitivity.
- Disobedience: Ignoring GOD's guidance will prevent experiencing His power.
- Emotional or Spiritual Burnout: Exhaustion or overwhelming life circumstances can make it difficult to feel spiritually connected.
- Cultural or Intellectual Barriers: Relying heavily on logic can create doubt about spiritual experiences, which might close you off to the influence of the Holy Spirit. This approach will lead to valuing reason over intuition and experiences rooted in faith.
- Fear of Surrender: Reluctance to fully surrender 'control' to GOD can limit the work of the Holy Spirit.
- Community Influences: Being in a community that doesn't emphasise the Holy Spirit's work might impact personal experiences.
NB - Through prayer, study, and seeking a relationship with the Holy Spirit, you will enrich your connection with the Holy Spirit's power. It's crucial to ask for His direction, understanding that each spiritual path is different and growth may take time. By trusting in His steadfast faithfulness and remaining patient, you will fulfil your purpose as His instrument - even if it's not immediately evident.

Let us pray, "Holy Spirit, I'm here with an open heart, ready to feel Your presence. I admit my doubts and seek faith in Your promises. Forgive any sins that block my connection with You. Help me stay dedicated to prayer and Your word, looking to You for guidance every day. When I'm weary, refresh my spirit and provide strength. Break down any mental barriers that limit my openness to You. Teach me to let go and accept Your will. Surround me with a community that supports my journey. I trust You're working within me, even when I can't see it. Thank You for Your endless love and faithfulness." Amen!
