In this series, we're delving deeper into the teachings that Jesus left us to follow. The fourth commandment leads us to our next focus: FAITH IN HIM ... Here's another amazing testimony from our sister Sally Ann:
I have so many wonderful experiences to share with you of how GOD blessed me and my daughter in our time of need. For example, in 2008, I asked the Lord to supply me and my daughter a home - somewhere away from all the horrible memories of the past (drugs and alcohol abuse)… Jesus be praised, we were miraculously contacted by the local Housing Association and offered a house!
Anyway, when we moved in, the washing machine we brought along with us (which was already old) died. At that time, I was on income support, so I didn’t have the funds to keep going to the laundrette. So, for months, I washed everything in the bath by hand - I even resorted to using an old sink plunger to help agitate the clothes!
This nightmare went on every month, for about 9 months, and each week I kept speaking out, “In the Name of Jesus, this will be the last time that I do the washing in this bath!” Then, one day, something dropped in my spirit, and I stood by the dining room window overlooking the main road outside, and I said, “In the Name of Jesus, I see a Curry’s van (a UK Electrical Appliances Company) pulling up outside my house, with a new washing machine for us. And in the Name of Jesus, they will remove and take away my old broken machine! Father, Your Word says, ‘How much more do you give good gifts to your children who ask (Matthew 7:11). Father, a washing machine right now is a good gift, and I’m speaking it in, and calling things that aren’t as if they are… (Romans 4:17)."
About a week later, a Curry's van pulled up outside my house. I stood in amazement watching as two men walked up the drive and knocked on my door. They said, “Hello, we’re here to deliver a new washing machine, and we’ve been paid to do the plumbing and installation as well as take your old machine away!”
Apparently, someone who knew we were struggling bought us a new washing machine! Isn't GOD GREAT?
