(Matthew 22:37) Jesus declared, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’

We're taking a closer look at the teachings Jesus left us to follow in this series. The second commandment is: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ So, next in line is: LOVING OTHERS and I've received a beautiful response on this from our sister Francesca:

“When Jesus was with his disciples, he said to them, 'This is my commandment: that you love one another." This was a sign of their obedience to Jesus, and the same applies to us (1 John 3:23). In the past, when I hadn't given my life to Jesus, I didn't fully understand this verse about the love Jesus requires of true worshipers. I thought the important thing was to be kind, and if someone needed help, to try to be of assistance, like lending a hand at home or helping the sick. Despite this, my life was unsatisfying, and I continued to carry heavy guilt on my shoulders, feeling like I was going deeper into a tunnel. Problems kept coming, and I accumulated more guilt, and the freedom I so desired was denied to me, especially by the Jehovah's Witnesses. But since I gave up trying to do everything myself and gave my life fully to Jesus, I now perfectly understand what it means to love others. Our love for those who belong to Jesus is a sign of obedience to Him and proof that God dwells in us. It's through this love that the world will recognise that we are his disciples (John 13:35). Living like Jesus means offering the salvation of eternal life, proclaiming the Kingdom. This specific command implies love and gives eternal life—a wonderful message that Jesus gave us on that cross, taking on our sins—a great act of love. Amen!
Living like Jesus doesn't mean ticking off a list of dos and don'ts. It means living a life in the love of God, desiring carefully to obey all his commandments. Loving others not only with deeds but with faith (works without faith God considers dead works) is what I have finally understood. That's why in the past, I felt something precious was missing—the faith in Jesus, a complete rebirth by giving my whole self to Jesus. Only in Christ Jesus can we have confidence in moving toward a wonderful goal, and we want others to also enjoy the blessings that God has for us. This is love for others: helping them find the path that Jesus assigned us, proclaiming the Kingdom —his Word. We must not hide it in fear; otherwise, we cannot say we love if we do not spread His Word of Salvation! (To love and give as Jesus did for us, AMEN)

Let us pray, Heavenly Father, open my eyes to those who need love today. Help me to be kind, compassionate, and generous in my words and actions. Use me to bring joy to someone else.Amen!!
