(Isaiah 44:8) "Fear not, nor be afraid; have I not told you from of old and declared it? And you are my witnesses! Is there a God besides me? There is no Rock; I know not any.”
Here then is another powerful testimony of how our sister Carmelina, also from Italy, overcame fear.
"I'm sure that I must have been the most fearful girl in the world. And I carried that fear with me for many years. I met the Lord in a little village in South Africa, which was the place at the very heart of the war there. We lived in the shadow of awful terrorism, a place where there was a constant threat or fear of terrorist activities. This affected all our daily lives and the overall sense of safety within our community and country. For example, we all had to travel everywhere in convoys! Things were so bad that every six weeks, everyone in our company had to take turns doing night duty to protect ourselves from attack. So once every six weeks, I had to spend the night awake in our house while everyone else slept, and I would sit there with every single light on. I was then just a baby Christian, learning how to pray, not sure about anything. Well, one night I couldn't hold my fear any longer and I said: "Lord help me. Immediately, I felt a presence there, and a gentle voice said to me, "I can take all your fears away," and I said, "Please Lord, do it." Something in me lifted, and I knew they were gone forever. Hallelujah. Thank You, Lord. Amen ."

Let us pray, "Heavenly Father, I acknowledge and confess my fear before You, especially these fears and difficulties that I am now facing. I affirm Your presence within me and remind myself of Your Promises to be with me through it all. Lord, I ask for comfort and guidance and ask You, my GOD, to use Your 'rod and staff' (Your protection and guidance) to provide me with comfort, strength, and a sense of Peace. I will choose to trust that Your plan for my life is perfect, even when things feel chaotic around me. Hallelujah!" Amen!
