(Philippians 1:22) "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labour for me. So what shall I choose? I do not know. I am torn between the two. I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better indeed. But it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body."
This morning, my wife casually utters over breakfast, "Were you aware that the Rapture is supposed to be happening this week...?"
NB - The Christian Rapture is a theological concept referring to the belief that, (at a future point), Jesus Christ will return to take believers—those who have faith in Him—up to Heaven. This event is often associated with the end times and is rooted in interpretations of biblical passages, particularly 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, which describes how believers will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord.
My immediate thoughts are "Yay! About time! Wouldn't that be wonderful ..."
Then I get thinking, "But what about 'So and So', or my neighbours, or him, or her ...!" We can't just leave all those poor souls behind!

Let us pray, "Heavenly Father, in the humble stillness of this moment, I come to You with a heart full of hope for all those in my friendship circle that don't yet know You or Your Grace. Lord, I ask for the gift of life for them and the chance to share the fruits of Your Holy Spirit." Amen!
