(Philippians 3:10) "I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to Him in His death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead."
So do I ...(I think)!
Paul goes on to say that we should all embrace this point of view. So what is it, exactly?
- Pursuit of the Goal: This reflects an ongoing journey of faith rather than simply pursuing a destination.
- Forget the Past: We're encouraged to forget what lies behind—past failures, or distractions, even past accomplishments—and focus on moving forward in our faith.
- Pressing On: "Straining to what is ahead..." The urgency in Paul's writing illustrates the importance of perseverance in the Christian life—despite all the challenges and setbacks.
- Maturity in Faith: Spiritual maturity involves understanding your current position and striving for growth. He encourages everyone to embrace this mature mindset.
- Unity in Belief: This highlights the importance of all believers being united in their pursuit of Christ and following the same faith principles.
Basically, Paul is encouraging us to remain focused on our spiritual journey, continually seeking to grow closer to Christ, while at the same time supporting each other in our faith.

Let us pray, "Heavenly Father, I thank you for the transformative power of Jesus Christ, your Son. Lord, I desire to know Him more fully, to experience the profound power of His resurrection in my life, and to share in the fellowship of His sufferings, becoming more like Him in His death. Grant me the grace and strength to press on toward that goal, to embrace all you have for me, and to somehow attain the glorious resurrection from the dead." Amen!
