(Matthew 22:21) "...Jesus told them, 'Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”
Of course, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's" emphasises the importance of fulfilling earthly responsibilities, such as obeying laws and paying taxes. But Jesus highlights the necessity that while Christians are to honour secular authority, their ultimate allegiance and devotion belong to GOD, who calls them to live out their faith and values in all aspects of life.
Consequently, this phrase encourages us to recognise the distinction between our fleeting, material responsibilities that pertain to the here and now and our lasting, spiritual obligations that have eternal significance. It invites us to reflect on how we navigate these two realms, emphasising the importance of prioritising our spiritual commitments while still fulfilling our temporal duties.

Let us pray, "Heavenly Father, I thank You for the order and provision that create a structured existence under earthly governments. I acknowledge that all things ultimately come from You, and with gratitude, I seek to give to our governments what is owed, including our taxes and respect for the law.
More importantly, I pray to give to You, GOD, what belongs to You. Help me to honour and obey You with all that You have entrusted to me, serving You with my heart, my time, and my resources. Guide me to live with eternal priorities, recognising Your claim over my entire life, and instil in me a spirit of devotion and steadfast loyalty to You." Amen!
