(1 Corinthians 2:1) "And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God."
I have seen/ heard of the Power of GOD manifesting when:
- A girl with Down syndrome played her tambourine with the Church band with all her heart. * Those who complained about the lack of rhythm missed His coming entirely.
- A young couple, late for church, were seen arguing in the car park by the ushers. They let the distraught wife and children come in, but not the angry husband. No one helped him! * He stormed off, swearing that he'd never set foot in a church again.
- A 'controlling' Pastor wouldn't allow the Holy Spirit to lead. * The Spirit brought revival, but the Pastor missed all of it as he lay unconscious at the front throughout.
The church is meant to be the bride of Christ, not the bride of the world. It should reflect love, unity, and faith, guiding its members to follow the teachings of Christ rather than conforming to societal pressures. The church's mission is to provide a place of hope and support, standing firm in its values while reaching out to others with compassion and grace."
NB - We should always keep in mind the consequences of wilful disobedience (Ananias and Sapphira, Acts 5).

Let us pray, "Heavenly Father, as I approach others, remind me of the Apostle Paul's example. Keep me from using eloquent or persuasive words and from relying on human wisdom. Instead, help me to preach only Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Empower me with Your Spirit and power so that the faith of those who hear me rests not on my ability, but on Your mighty work." Amen!
