(Revelation 3:15) "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold (invigorating, refreshing) nor hot (healing, therapeutic); I wish that you were cold or hot."
So, my wife is praying this morning, and something she says sticks in my mind, "... we can't just expect those that don't know Jesus to come knocking on our door, we have to pray them in ...!"
Confession time ... so I've been chatting to a guy recently who tells me that Western Christian's are a joke (when I probed him, he meant Western [European] politicians), blah, blah, blah ...
Anyway, he concluded his rant this morning with "... and that's why I am 'almost a Buddhist'.
Obviously, I'm upset. I get home, and the first thing my wife says is, "But have you been praying for him?"
And that got me thinking... "Have I? Have I really fought for his soul in prayer ... or have I just mentioned his name in passing?"

Let us pray, "Holy Father, it's easy for me to pray, 'Just save all the lost people,' but Your Word says that we are to partner with Christ through a deep, intimate relationship where we are to work together, sharing in His mission and purpose. I see that it's a dynamic partnership that encompasses both a vertical relationship with Christ and horizontal relationships with others. Forgive me for my sloppiness and help me to focus on making prayer a priority, preparing well, and connecting with You on a deeper level." Amen!
