(Ephesians 2:8) “For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favour drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation].”
Today, I asked GOD, "What does it mean (to You), to be a Christian? This is where I got led...
- It means following Jesus Christ and believing in his teachings. It's about more than just religious affiliation; it's about enjoying a deep and personal relationship with Jesus and striving to live according to his example. (John 14:12) "I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Saviour] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My name [as My representative], this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified and celebrated in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name [as My representative], I will do it."
- It means believing in your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of GOD and that He came to earth to save anyone who would believe in Him. (Romans 10:9) “...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
- It means studying Jesus' life and example, and patterning our lives after His. (1 Corinthians 11:1). “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ”

Let's pray, "Heavenly Father, my heart cries out to you with thanksgiving for saving me from the devil and from myself! I pray to you, the Father of glory, that you may grant me a spirit of wisdom and revelation a deep and intimate knowledge of you, that the eyes of my heart be enlightened, that I can know and understand the hope to which you have called me, and the richness of your glorious inheritance in the saints" Amen!
