(Matthew 4:19) [Jesus speaking] "Follow Me [as My disciples, accepting Me as your Master and Teacher and walking the same path of life that I walk], and I will make you fishers of men.”

A crucial question a Christian should always ask themselves is, "What would Jesus do?" (WWJD).

But, were you aware that the phrase "What would Jesus do?" [WWJD] gained significant popularity as far back as the early 1900s, following the release of Charles Sheldon’s 1896 novel "In His Steps: What Would Jesus Do?"

Also, Charles Spurgeon, a well-known evangelical Baptist preacher in London, used the phrase "what would Jesus do", and he cites the source of the phrase as a book written in Latin by Thomas à Kempis between 1418 and 1427, Imitatio Christi (The Imitation of Christ).

Although the term may have faded in popularity somewhat, there's a significant risk of disregarding its core message, as it continues to be a crucial question for Christians in a living relationship with their Lord to reflect on daily.

So ... quite simply, what is happening in your life or the lives that GOD has given you (right now), and have you asked the Lord Jesus what you are to do about it?

Let's pray, "Holy Father, thank you for the invitation to follow Jesus and to become a fisher of men. Help me to understand your teachings and to live them out in my daily life. Give me the courage to share my faith with others and to be a witness for you. Open my eyes to see the opportunities you provide to share your love and grace. Open my heart to the words and actions that will draw others to you. May my life be a reflection of your love and may I be used by you to bring others into your Kingdom." Amen!
