(Proverbs 3:5) "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
I've been trying for ages now to research 'faith' and what it actually means from GOD's standpoint. Then I came across this explanation from a Hebrew teacher, who says:
"The word faith hides a beautiful secret. Faith in Hebrew is emuna, which also comes from the word emun, meaning trust. It also comes from the word imun, which means training or Practising."
"So, if you want to go from Faith to Trust, you'll need to practice a lot! Let me give you an example. Many people with a deep faith have often struggled with 'letting go'. They've done everything they could, but then instead of letting GOD take the lead, they keep going."
"So, how do you get to the place of Trust? You need to practice letting go. You need to practice doing everything you can do and then stop yourself from going any further! Then you need to pray, "GOD, I've done all I can, now I need You to take over ..."
If you practice this every day, you will get from a place of faith (EMUNA) to a place of trust (EMUN)!

Let's pray, "Heavenly Father, I come before you today, acknowledging that I should trust in You with all my heart and not lean on my own understanding. Help me to truly rely on Your wisdom and guidance, rather than my own limited perspective. In all my ways, I want to acknowledge You, and I ask that You make my paths straight. Please give me the strength and courage to surrender my will to Yours and to trust that You have the best plan for my life." Amen!
