(Luke 22:31) [Jesus speaking] “…stay on your toes. Satan has tried his best to separate all of you from me, like chaff from wheat…”

We all know how this works. You believe you hear GOD asking you to step out in faith, and then begins the constant barrage of negative thoughts and doubts:

“Did God ‘really‘ say that to you?”

“Don’t you think that was just a bit too ambitious?”

“Come on now, and be honest with yourself, nothing has changed, you’re still where you were, so it doesn’t work for you does it …?”

The proving of our faith puts us in the same predicament as the Apostle Peter (Luke 22:31) and Job (Job 1—2). When Satan sought to put them to the test. Satan wanted to “sift Peter as wheat,” which means that he wished to shake Peter's faith so forcefully that he would fall, proving that GOD's faithful servant was useless and lacking in stamina and faith.

BUT … when we deliberately close our eyes and ears to these attacks and instead turn and face our Redeemer Jesus and the necessary miracles of our Heavenly Father's Amazing Grace, then ANYTHING can happen!

Let's pray: "Heavenly Father, Jesus warns us that Satan desires to shake our faith so forcefully that we would fall. I pray that you would help us to resist temptation. Let me always know your Presence so that my faith may not fail. Where I am weak, please grant me the grace to stand firm in you, especially when I am under pressure." Amen.
