Here's another encouragement taken from my latest book ...
I once heard a testimony of a young woman who got involved with a bad crowd and ran far away from home. For years, her parents heard very little about her, only that she was living an extremely toxic life. She’d gotten deep into drugs, been in and out of prison, etc.
She had a younger brother, and while she was still at home she mercilessly bullied him to the point where he grew to simply hate her. In fact his hatred grew from boiling hot to cold and finally extremely hard as flint. (You'll need to keep this in mind).
She never returned home and her parents subsequently died broken hearted, never ever seeing her again.
One day her brother was being interviewed by a Christian Counsellor on a radio station and he let slip that he had a wayward sister. Hearing GOD, the counsellor wouldn’t (couldn’t) let this go and after many hours of probing got the young man to confess his hatred and finally 'genuinely' forgive his sister - basically, he had to come to the point where the cold hard hatred within him began to heat up and then become malleable enough to finally spew out of him (like a volcano).
What he didn’t know is that at the very hour he was wrestling with forgiveness, his sister had had enough of her life and was trying to kill herself with an overdose!
Miracle of miracles, at the very time that he finally forgave her, she was found by a passing Christian Pastor who prayed her through to Salvation. Both she and her brother are totally set free and reunited.
GOD answers prayer – it might not be in the way, or time we prefer. But Child of the Living GOD, He DOES ANSWER PRAYER!
