(John 16:13) [Jesus speaking] “… But when the truth-giving Spirit comes, he will unveil the reality of every truth within you. He won’t speak on his own, but only what he hears from the Father, and he will reveal prophetically to you what is to come."
The older I get, the more I realise that our whole belief system is based on whatever enforces our desires: e.g. being part of this kind of crowd. Driving this kind of car. Having this kind of partner, etc., will ultimately make me feel better.
In His love for us, Jesus’s Spirit gets hold of our lives and begins to pull apart (unveil) all these lies and reveal them for what they are.
He also prophetically speaks the truth – “Living apart from me, isn’t going to go well for you…!” (John 15:5)
Let's pray together, "Lord, you are the vine, and we are the branches. I pray that I may remain in you and you in me, so that I may bear much fruit. Help me to stay connected to you, to seek your will and follow your ways. I acknowledge that apart from you, I can do nothing. May my life be a testimony of your love and grace, and may I bring glory to your name. Thank you for your faithfulness and for the abundant blessings you have bestowed upon me." Amen!
