And how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely asking according to his will, sure that he’s listening. And if we’re confident that he’s listening, we know that what we’ve asked for is as good as ours.”
There was a time years ago when things seemed to be attacking me on all sides. My wife and I had been praying continuously, and then everything just turned around spectacularly!
Later, as I was praying, the Lord spoke to me and said, "What changed the situation? Your prayers, or My Grace in giving?"
I said, "It was a Gift from you, Lord."
"Right!" He said. "So don't waste time trying to get me to bless what I've already given you - that is just fear! Fear of loss! Your 'only' concern should be to be my friend - to be 'one' with me! Pray for this to be your treasure, and that others will see and follow."
