THE STORY BEHIND THE WRITER
Stories have always had a way of taking me somewhere else.
I was born in God’s own country — Yorkshire, to the uninitiated — to immigrant parents. My father came from Poland and my mother from Italy. Both were drawn to England after the Second World War by the promise that “the streets were paved with gold.”
I grew up loving my adopted country and developed an early passion for English and literature. I read avidly, often late into the night, and one of my favourite library books was a huge collection of Iranian folk tales. It seemed that stories had always been capable of transporting me somewhere else.
My working life took me into senior commercial and consulting roles, where I spent more than three decades working with organisations, solving problems, negotiating and helping people find practical ways forward. Yet throughout my professional life, my love of stories never left me.

LITTLE CHRISTS
The worlds of history and story finally came together.
LITTLE CHRISTS is historical fiction born from my fascination with the people, places and events surrounding the birth and growth of the Christian faith.
The series is not simply about events from the past. It is about ordinary people whose lives become entangled with the story of Jesus — people who encounter Him, are changed by Him, and still struggle to understand what it means to follow Him.
THE DAILY BLOG
Encouragement for the journey.
For years, I have also been writing a daily word of encouragement from Scripture. What began simply as a few messages to people who needed encouragement grew into a daily journey through faith, life and what it means to follow Jesus.
That same desire — to encourage, build up and help people keep going — sits at the heart of the Daily Blog.

WHEN I’M NOT WRITING
Life beyond the page.
When I’m not writing, I can often be found in one of my favourite coffee shops nursing an Americano con orzo which helps me to think up the next plot. I love my wife, my family, cooking, reading, cycling and walking my two dogs, Bentley, a Vizsla/Labrador cross which we brought over from Wales, and Nellie, a Breton which was abandoned here in Italy.
