(John 20:22) “...Receive the Holy Spirit."
Let's move on to the next theme...
"I don't feel His Presence..."
There's a tremendously poignant quote that originates from an anonymous Jewish prisoner during the Holocaust. It expresses profound faith and hope amid suffering and is a testament to enduring belief.
"I believe in the sun even when it is not shining,
and I believe in love, even when there is no one there,
and I believe in God, even when He is silent."
Even for those who feel a vibrant, ongoing connection with GOD through the Holy Spirit, moments of spiritual dryness occur. Times when all you hear is the echo of your cry returning to you. Yet, it is precisely in these moments that our faith strengthens as we hold on—not to fleeting words, but to eternal promises. David understood this well when he penned Psalm 23:4:
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil...
This verse reassures us that even in the most challenging or silent of times, we should not fear because GOD's guidance and protection are with us. (Hebrews 13:5), states, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." This verse emphasises GOD's unwavering presence and support.
On a personal note, watching our children tackle their homework was torture for me. My wife would passionately insist, "Leave them alone. They must learn by doing ... if you do it for them, they'll miss the lesson!" The profound, heart-tugging frustration I experienced, especially when their pleading eyes sought mine, was truly overwhelming. But she was right - and my interference would have been wrong on every level!
Hebrews 11:1 defines our faith as "The substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." This highlights faith in the Holy Spirit's role in guiding, teaching, and leading us in our daily lives as a crucial element in our spiritual belief.

Let us pray, Heavenly Father, grant me the heart of a child, content to follow the Holy Spirit without needing to understand the 'why,' 'where,' or 'how.' Help me trust in His guidance completely, knowing that His path is always the best for me." Amen!
