TESTIMONY - When our spirits or lives are depleted — it's like someone suffering from a vitamin deficiency who needs the right nourishment — God often places a healing presence beside us. Sometimes that presence comes in a package we wouldn’t expect, or even one we instinctively dislike!
I learned (the hard way) that the challenge isn’t in 'who' delivers the help, but whether we’ll accept the healing that's being given to us through them!After a brutal battle with cancer and the punishing treatments that followed, I came out of it alive, but fearful. My business was nearly gone, finances were tight, and I was desperate for a lifeline. Someone offered me a technical project that could help me financially, but during the fight to regain my health, I had lost all my staff and needed help fast.
One of the Church Pastors recommended a young man who could do the work. When I phoned him, I found him brusque, to the point of being irritating. After speaking to him for 20 minutes, I hung up the phone on him in frustration.
In that moment of petulant anger and childishness, a quiet inner voice — gentle and clear — urged me to call him back and apologise for 'my' intolerant attitude. I was stunned... but reluctantly obeyed.
Long story short, we actually became really good friends - not only did he deliver on the first phase of my project, but because he delivered so well, we got the much larger phase two without even pitching!
That awkward beginning grew into a genuine friendship—and a crucial lifeline for both my family and my business!
Lord, help us to see beyond first impressions. Open our hearts to receive Your wisdom, to welcome unexpected messengers, and to find joy in following Your gentle leading today.

Let’s pray, “Heavenly Father, I come before You, requesting a surrendered heart. When my plans clash with Your purpose, give me the courage to let go of control and the faith to trust Your Wisdom. Shape my desires to align with Your will; grant me peace in surrender, strength for obedience, and clarity to follow Your leading. Use me for Your glory, not my own." Amen!
