(Song of Solomon 2:3) “I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.”

This series is about how GOD is believed to communicate with us all. This next part is through (14) the FRUIT (we produce) and the TRANSFORMATION (it creates in others)!

As a young sapling in Christ, I relied on the fruit of many mentors: John McKay, Michael Barling, Colin Urquhart, etc...

It was THEIR fruit that sustained me! The fruit of THEIR hard-won testimonies that encouraged me! The fruit of THEIR experiences that comforted me! The fruit of THEIR battles that edified me...! (1 Corinthians 14:3)

Just as we can trace the living seeds of their fruit all the way back to our Christ, the living seeds of their fruit will ever remain in my heart!

NB - No tree feeds off its own fruit! Each tree lives to feed others! Our fruit should be freely available for ALL to sample, the good and the not-so-good. As Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:45, "This is what God does. He gives his best—the sun to warm and the rain to nourish—to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty."

Let’s pray, “Heavenly Father, I delight to sit in Your shade. Let me rest in Your presence, find nourishment in Your fruit, and be sustained by Your sweetness. Teach me to cherish and hold fast to You, that my soul may be refreshed and my life bear good fruit for Your Glory.” Amen!
