(Revelation 22:4) "They will see His face...”

In this series, we're delving deeper into the teachings that Jesus left us to follow. The eleventh commandment leads us to our next focus: LIVING RIGHTEOUSLY.

"I have tried to live righteously, but continually fail ... what am I supposed to do?" First, embrace Grace and Forgiveness, then seek GOD's guidance because spiritual growth is a lifelong journey. Connect with a supportive community (the Church), and ask the Holy Spirit to help you pursue small, tangible steps to align your life with Jesus' teachings.

Here are just a few verses on living righteously that emphasise the importance of aligning with GOD's will and moral standards, along with some mighty blessings that follow.

(Proverbs 21:21) "Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity, and honour."

(Matthew 5:6) "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled."

(1 John 3:7) "Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous."

(Romans 6:13) "Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness."

(1 Peter 3:14) "But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. 'Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.'"

And I've saved the best for last ... According to Christian belief, the righteous will see the face of GOD. Revelation 22:4 suggests that those who are in right standing with Him (referred to as the righteous) will have the privilege of seeing His Face in the New Jerusalem.

Let's pray, "Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise that we will one day see Your Face. Help me to live righteously and faithfully for You - I've lived too long with my eyes fixed on 'me' and what's best for me. Help me now to keep my eyes fixed on You and what You decide is best. May Your Name be ever written on my heart, guiding me in our daily walk together. Fill me with hope and anticipation for the day when all of us will stand together in Your glorious presence." Amen!
