But, who are these bullies???

How about we name them for what they are - the ‘toxic things’ that we’ve been afraid of refusing, and in so doing, have bowed the knee to over the many years – things that we’ve actually authorised with power over us …!

Bullies, such as smoking, drinking, drugs, porn, anger as a choice of attack or defence, eating, unforgiveness, TV choices, toxic friendships, authority figures that we can't refuse, etc, etc, etc...!

How do we become free of them? Jesus tells us that it's simple really... We look to Him, not our worldly solutions (with all the unnecessary side effects). We look to our GOD-given, ‘Heaven Sent’ Saviour! Our Champion! Our Redeeming Lover!

And then we say together:

Dear Lord, please set me free from the bullies that assail me, and turn my weakness into strength. Transform my suffering into compassion and turn my sorrow into lasting joy. Transform the pain I feel into comfort I can provide to others. Help me to trust in your goodness and grab hold of your faithful hope in the midst of this struggle. Amen.

“Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches.”
