(Psalm 56:3) "Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you.”
For many of us who have known the Presence of the Lord for over 40 days, I'm sure we can all confirm that we've not lived a moment of our lives without the embodiment of fear fluttering across our faces (as our sister Carmelina succinctly put it).
By definition, fear can be both positive and negative. On the positive side, it can protect us by signalling danger and prompting caution. However, the negative is quite the opposite. Excessive fear is extremely limiting because it forces us to avoid situations or objects, restricting our ability to engage in daily activities, such as work, school, or socialising, which in turn leads to further distress.
Whenever fear becomes overwhelming and we organise our life around avoiding its source, it becomes a debilitating condition, such as a phobia or anxiety disorder, which will undoubtedly affect our overall well-being.
The Bible and Jesus are explicit. Because of sin and its effects, the overall message of Grace is not that life on this Earth will be without problems, but that GOD Himself (and by definition ALL His Power) will be 'with you' through each of them—if we let Him!
So, as GOD has been teaching us—and surely the past testimonies all confirm—overcoming fear isn't just 'wishful thinking'. It's all about acknowledging that GOD Himself has PROMISED to be a constant companion in all our trials and tribulations, and when called upon to act, it is He Who will provide strength and help whenever we need it. The 'still small voice,' always affirming, "Child of Mine, do not be afraid of this. I AM with you."

Let us pray, "Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that I become afraid, and my heart gets filled with worry about things I cannot control. I ask that you help me to put my trust in You. Increase my trust, Lord, and let go, so that I can stop trying to fix everything myself and instead, fix my eyes on You when I face difficulties. I know that You are my rock and refuge, and I praise You for Your faithfulness." Amen!
