Don't know about you, but I've had some pretty difficult conversations this week ... a beautiful man who I dearly love and respect is having to undergo some pretty severe and invasive facial surgery next week in order to save his life, while another friend of mine is right now in Brighton hospital undergoing major heart bypass surgery - I'm sure we can all relate to how their wives and children are feeling under all this stress and pressure...!
While I'm thinking of all this, my cousin lets me know that while she's undergoing difficult treatment for breast cancer she's also now developing serious heart and lung problems...!
Then on top of all of this, my Bible notes remind me that this is the anniversary of my Pastor friend Les Mitchell who went on to Glory a year ago, and my wife tells me of a prominent worship leader who has openly questioned his faith - and while everyone is busy judging him for speaking out the things (that we ALL have to deal with on a daily basis), I bow my head and remind myself – but for the Grace of GOD, there go I …!
Lord of all Living Hope, I pray for everyone who is reading this and struggling in any way today, to be met by You in their time of need.
