(Ephesians 1:13) "You were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession, to the praise of His glory."
I want to assure us all that this work of 'sealing' refers to the act of the Holy Spirit marking or confirming a believer as belonging to GOD. This is very deeply rooted in the teachings of the New Testament, particularly in Ephesians 1:13-14 and 2 Corinthians 1:21-22.
This sealing by the Holy Spirit signifies a profound assurance of our salvation and a promise of the inheritance that awaits us in Christ. The Holy Spirit acts as a down payment or guarantee of this inheritance, affirming that we are genuinely part of GOD’s family and will ultimately receive the fullness of His promises.
The Holy Spirit not only marks us as GOD's own but also anoints us to live in accordance with His will. The anointing signifies being set apart for GOD’s purposes, while the sealing indicates that we are protected from soul harm and marked for His Kingdom.
