(John 14:18) [Jesus speaking] ”I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me... Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him... “These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”
Yesterday's message was proof enough that even Jesus's disciples couldn't do anything truly good without His help, and certainly until they received help from the Holy Spirit.
While yesterday's verse stirred powerful themes of passionate loyalty, it also highlighted serious issues related to human weakness and the ongoing struggle of faith against fears.
How can we move forward when we're constantly reminded of the challenges that even the most devoted followers among us may face in moments of fear or pressure?
How...? By underscoring the importance of reliance on Jesus' strength rather than our own resolve! By fixing our hearts to what Jesus has told us - and then holding on to the Holy Spirit's hand until we receive the manifestations.

Let us pray, "Holy Spirit, please forgive me for the (many) times I have tried to get things done without You. Please help my heart see You as a Person and not just a thing!" Amen!
