(Jesus speaking) “… But when the truth-giving Spirit comes, he will unveil the reality of every truth within you... (John 16:13)

The older I get, the more I realise that mankind's whole belief system is quintessentially based on whatever enforces our desires – being part of the right in-crowd, driving this kind of supercar, having this kind of partner, having this kind of job, living in this kind of area, etc.

In effect, we will make any pact, sign any contract, and pay whatever it takes - even our 'eternal' Soul, as long as it makes ME FEEL BETTER.

In His love for us, Jesus’s Spirit then begins to pull apart (unveil) all these 'things' that we've fought tooth and nail to get and reveal them for what they are - toxic lies!

His Prophetic Truth echoes across every disappointment, every hurt, every failure, and every stupid choice we've ever made – “Living apart from me isn’t going to go well for you…!” (John 15:5)

Lord, please help me to listen (and act) on whatever Your Holy Spirit says today. Amen.
