(Genesis 2:9) “...the tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the [experiential] knowledge (recognition) of [the difference between] good and evil.”
Saw this and couldn't resist ...
"In the garden, the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil were placed. One is received as a Gift, and one is earned through effort!
Every day, millions of Christians wake up and make the same devastating mistake - they 'choose' to live by the wrong tree.
How...? Because when we don't believe that GOD loves us and wants to give us things we need through His own Perfect Nature, we make the same mistake and turn the 'gift' that is ours into 'wages! that we can earn!'
Every time you think to yourself, "If I do these good things, and avoid these bad things, then GOD will be good to me!" We are choosing to live from the wrong tree through turning gifts into wages earned through our own actions!
'Do Good - get good. Do bad - get bad,' was the tree that Jesus was nailed to - and GOD has done away with that system forever!

Let's pray, Heavenly Father, I want to be led by the Holy Spirit and don't want to return to the stupid effort of trying to justify myself before You. Please help me to rest solely in the finished work of Jesus Christ and therefore live by the Tree of Life. Amen!
