I'll be honest, my heart sank when I saw him at the Café; there were two empty beer bottles already on the table, and he was ordering a third as I ordered my coffee—and it was not even 08:30 am!
Conversations with him were always challenging and somehow always ended up going down the same hole, "No disrespect to you, Warren, but I've read the Bible, I've also read the Quran, and I've read the Tripitaka and I'm now a firm Buddhist..."
So I pray, "What do I say today, Lord? HELP! What do You want me to say or do here?"
A few seconds later, I found myself saying, "It's quite obvious to me that in all this reading, you're searching for truth. I was no different to you before I 'met' Jesus. Oh yes, as a Catholic, I'd been taught all about him. I'd even read the Bible from cover to cover (twice). I figured I knew all 'about' him—but I still didn't 'know' him."
"That was until the day when I'd had enough of my horrible life and wanted to end it all ...! It was at that point when He revealed Himself to me—and at that point when I 'met' the Truth of GOD!"
We didn't talk anymore, and he kept his head down for a long time. I didn't know what else to say, so I left him alone to ponder. Finally, he stood up, finished his beer, and with tears on his face walked away. He turned around after about 5 metres and said, "I wish I had what you have..."
Lord, thank you for preparing his heart for the next time we meet, or for whoever You will choose to lead him into Your presence.

Let's pray, "Heavenly Father, I see the vastness of the spiritual harvest all around me. I pray for him and for all those who need to hear the message of your Love and Salvation. I ask that you send out more labourers into your harvest field. Raise up workers who are willing to go, to share the good news, and to especially make disciples. I pray this in accordance with your will, for the advancement of your kingdom." Amen!
