I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course. So correct me, Lord, but please be gentle. Do not correct me in anger, for I would die. (‭‭Jer 10:23)

We’re all alike, we dream big, and in our imaginations, our lives are painted with enterprisingly bold brush strokes. But then the things we can’t control – the wind, rain and storms of life come along, and the dawning realisation hits us square on that our lives are actually not our own to direct and that we’re wholly incapable of planning our own course.

At this knowledge, some will quietly quit altogether, while some will shake their feeble fists at the heavens, pick themselves up and gathering the pieces of their broken dreams, will try again – and again, and again ...

But for those of us who have recognised the futility of trying to form our own lives and have handed all the broken pieces and our hopes to Jesus, a miracle will have begun – we will begin to realise his faithfulness towards us - and our trust in him will grow.

Let the Peace of Christ enter your heart and speak its truth to the day: shout out to the Lord - “I’m not afraid of today because You are with me, or even tomorrow, because I know that you are already there!” ❤️

NB - New and urgent prayer requests and updates are coming in thick and fast and getting too long to just be tagged onto the daily encouragement. As such, I've created a separate page for you to view on the below link, which will be updated constantly ...
