(Galatians 4:5) “... God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, "Abba! Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave (bond-servant), but a son; and if a son, then also an heir through [the gracious act of] God [through Christ]."
So many have tried to ‘protect’ GOD from this scripture, so that we would somehow always live before Him on our knees in some faux fear rather than the liberty of 'relationship' He bought for us through His precious blood.
Our Heavenly Father has clearly established that we are called (and should be like) His children before Him.
Think about it as you walk up to His Throne of Grace today, because this is where the real healing begins.
Let's pray, "Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your Son, Jesus. We praise you for His obedience to the law, His sinless life, and His death on the cross, which has redeemed us from sin and death. We are grateful for the gift of adoption as your children, and we pray that we may live in light of this truth, trusting in your love and provision. We praise you for the Holy Spirit you have given us, and for the hope of our inheritance in your family. Help us to live today as your children, trusting in your love, enjoying your presence, and seeking to glorify you in all we do." Amen!
