The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him;though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand. (Psa 37.23)

Quite a few of you have asked me how I got my business after Bible College. So, here goes ...

One of the new term guys approached me and asked what plans I had after Bible College; I told him that my 'calling' seemed to be back in business (at the time, I was working in a cellular phone shop for just £60 per week).

He offered to open a door for me to go work at Cable & Wireless (rivals to BT in the UK). With my previous design skills, I went for the interview and got a 3-month contract to work as their Web Master!

I was situated on the huge fifth floor as one of about 1,000 other people. Anyway, one evening, I was working late, trying to finish stuff off in the peace of a quiet office, when I heard a lady shouting and banging her keyboard. I looked up and now saw her screaming at her machine. I wandered across and offered to help. She told me that she was the boss of the Political Department and that the presentation she was due to make that evening to Parliament had somehow corrupted and if she didn't now present she would be ridiculed!

She was beside herself with anxiety and was threatening to get onto the widow ledge with the pigeons (metaphorically) if I didn't help her.

Bottom line (through much prayer), I managed to sort out the problem and recreated her presentation just as she wanted it. She was ECSTATIC, to say the least, and told me to put in a bill first thing in the morning. I told her that £30 of my time didn't really matter (I was now on £15 an hour). She stared at me incredulously for the longest time and said she couldn't ever agree to pay such a paltry figure! Pulling out an Invoice from a stack of papers on her desk, she showed me one for £3,400 and told me, "THAT is the going rate for the work you've done, and THAT is what I expect you to charge me first thing tomorrow - and I'll have lots more work for you after that one!"

NB - I haven't written this to show off any of my extraordinary talents but simply to prove that following closely to GOD will allow you to wander through so many more interesting doors than you could ever imagine! ❤️

NB - New and urgent prayer requests and updates are coming in thick and fast and getting too long to just be tagged onto the daily encouragement. As such, I've created a separate page for you to view on the below link, which will be updated constantly ...

The Lord Bless you for caring ❤️
